We understand your concerns about having the right food available at your private party.
You will want to know which foods we serve, if there will be enough to go round and whether or not the food and the service fit in well with the venue. You will also want to know how we set up, how and when we serve food, and if the clean-up can be managed afterwards too.
Most of all, you will need to know that your caterers can do the job you expect of them.
All staff at The Little Cricket have experience in private party catering.
We have a five-star hygiene rating and everybody assigned to the event will have a Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety Certificate. All we ask is that you are accurate in telling us about how many people will be at the party so we can plan ahead and cater for the expected numbers.
The Little Cricket lets you know how much space is needed for our van, and for your guests to come and get their food when they are ready to eat. We arrive in enough time to freshly prepare food and be ready to serve it when guests want to eat. Because we are local to the Crawley and Sussex areas ourselves, we can be flexible with our arrival time to suit the plans for your party.
And when service ends, The Little Cricket cleans up our allocated space before leaving.
FOOD CHOICES FOR YOUR PARTY
The next thing to discuss is the food.
The Little Cricket has different menu options, and we will discuss these with you when you call. If you have guests coming who might prefer something different to the food you have chosen, we will do our best to offer an alternative based on how far in advance your booking is made.
Options include:
Burger Van Catering
For informal gatherings with freshly prepared food made with locally sourced ingredients and individual choices from our usual menu, including burgers, hot dogs and jacket potatoes.
We also have menu choices for any children attending.
Hog Roast Catering
Ideal for any private party in Crawley or Sussex when the organiser wants food to be part of the event. Guests can gather round and watch the hog turning as it roasts while socialising.
Food is served in a bun with apple sauce and crackling.
Street Food Catering
A relaxed private party catering choice, where people can mix and mingle while eating. We can discuss the food options available when you contact us so you can host a more social event.
Our menu has previously included pork curry and tacos but more choices are available.
With everything overseen from setup to clean-up, you can arrange the rest of your private party in any way you wish. The Little Cricket adds to the occasion but won’t be its focal point.
You get to be part of the party without becoming part of the catering.
And, when the event is over and people look back on it, they will appreciate the great job you did in bringing everybody together to have such a fun time.
